Tony Carideo, CFA - PresidentTony brings a diverse background to his business, including a 21-year career as a journalist, as well as experience as a securities analyst and the director of a sell-side research department, and on the corporate side as an investor relations professional.
Prior to launching The Carideo Group in 2003, Tony was a senior vice president in the Investor Relations practice at Padilla Speer Beardsley Inc. Before that, he was director of Investor Relations and Treasury Operations at Net Perceptions, a retail and business intelligence software company and in a similar role at Information Advantage, an intelligence software firm. While at Net Perceptions, he handled the investor relations during an $80+ million secondary offering, and supervised the firm's cash management functions.
From 1995 until 1999, Tony was an analyst and director of research at John G. Kinnard & Co., of Minneapolis, supervising a staff of 18 analysts and support people, and spent a year at Boatmen's Trust Company in St. Louis as a senior vice president in charge of Institutional Sales and Marketing.
Tony spent most of his career as a journalist, with 14 years at the Star Tribune as a business columnist and reporter, and six years with the Milwaukee Journal. Currently, he authors a monthly finance column for Twin Cities Business. Additionally, he serves on the Boards of Directors for the Minnesota News Council and the CFA (Chartered Financial Analysts) Society of Minnesota, of which he is president.
Jan Drymon - Vice President
Jan joined The Carideo Group in April 2005, bringing extensive knowledge and expertise in investor and corporate communications to the firm. With more than 10 years experience in the telecommunications industry, she has held key management positions that have been instrumental in helping companies implement their strategic communications programs while keeping a close eye on corporate compliance with SEC regulations.
Jan believes strongly in brand management and a company’s need to deliver against its brand promise to all constituents. Her background includes re-branding as a result of a merger or to upgrade a company’s image in the marketplace, implementation of employee-based communications programs and the development of communications compliance programs for executive management and boards of directors.
Prior to joining The Carideo Group, Jan was director of Investor and Corporate Communications at Norstan, Inc., a full-service provider of communications solutions and services to the enterprise market. Here, she built the investor relations practice and was liaison between executive management and the financial community. Additionally, she worked closely with executive management, marketing and human resources to implement corporate, customer and employee focused communications programs.
Jan has also held key investor and corporate communications positions at ADC Telecommunications, Inc., a global network infrastructure and services company, and Scientific-Atlanta, Inc., a leading manufacturer of end-to-end broadband communications products and services.
